Proposals for Improvement of Services in the Hotel

This diploma thesis deals with suggestions for improving the services of Hotel U Labutě in Žďár nad Sázavou. It is a small hotel with a number of competitive hotels. An important part of the work is an analysis of the current condition of the hotel and proposals for solving specific shortcomings found during the analysis. The purpose of the proposals is mainly to improve the quality of the services provided and increase the attendance of the hotel restaurant.
The Proposal for Improvement of Services in the Myslivna Hotel

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of enhancing quality of services provided in the Myslivna Hotel. It is necessary to increase the level of current services by a number of measures. When working on my thesis, I based on real economic, operational and technical data carried out within full operation of the Myslivna Hotel. In the innovation section I present measures that can lead to an increasing trend of occupancy and the quality ot the services provided there. There is a need to spend a considerable amount of money on the realization of all the proposals, but their return shoud definitely have a very positive effect on the function and prospertiy of the Myslivna Hotel.
Proposal for Improvement of Services in the Hotel U Hraběnky

The thesis deals with the issue of enhancing the quality of providing services at a real hotel in Telč, the Vysočina Region. The hotel is in need of certain adjustments in purpose to improve current services. When processing this thesis I delt with factual economic, operating and technical figures connected to the latest economic activity of the hotel. In the proposal part I presents series of suggestions that could recondition provided services, and therefore, draw attention of more customers. It is indisputable that a considerable amount of money would be necessary to invest first. However, the returnability should bring overal effect in prosperity of the whole hotel.
Marketing plan for a social and entertainment company specialising in French gastronomy and culture

The bachelor thesis is focused on the creation of a marketing plan for a new social-entertainment enterprise specialized in French gastronomy and culture, which will enter the market in Humpolec. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The theoretical part is consists of literary research and methodology. Firstly, I learned literature based on marketing, food service, coffee, and wine. In this part, key concepts were defined, with which I worked further in the practical part. The methodology of the work focus on aim of the bachelor thesis, the research questions, the principle of marketing research and the methods through which the research was carried out. The practical part consist of interpretation of data obtained during marketing research, description of the location, analysis of potential customers and competitors. Then, the marketing plan for the new enterprise was created.

The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to evaluate the economic benefits of the marketing strategies of the hospitality business. Methods used for the thesis were SWOT analysis, competition and business analysis, and questionnaire survey focused on customer satisfaction assessment. Based on the information gained, marketing improvements have been suggested to increase demand and sales. An improvement proposal in business management was developed to achieve a positive economic result.

Krausová, B. Motives and attitudes of restaurant guests toward gratuities. Bachelor Thesis. Brno: Mendelova univerzita v Brně, 2018. The main theme of this Bachelor´s thesis are motives of guests in Czech restaurants for gratuities and factors affecting decisions of its value, whose identification is the main goal of this thesis. The theoretical part covers problems of tourist industry, food service, service quality, consumer behaviour, satisfaction of customers and gratuities. Consequently, own analysis of the current state of food services in Czech Republic follows. The next part reveals and evaluates the most common incentives for leaving gratuities and factors affecting its value through questionnaire. The conclusion compares gained results with international research with similar case of study and formulates recommendations for providers of such services.

Marketing plan of Pražská kavárna for 2018

This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the current marketing plan of the existing café Pražská kavárna and recommends a marketing strategy for the next period. The main objective of this thesis is to propose a new marketing plan for Pražská kavárna for the following year 2018, based on the gained theoretical knowledge and information gathered from the analyses of current marketing practices. The partial objectives are to make a business situation analysis (macro, micro and internal environment), characterize the company's marketing mix, to identify points for improvement, and to develop the resulting targets and strategies. The thesis is divided into five chapters, into the theoretical and practical parts. The first part deals with the theory of strategic planning and the specifics of marketing in the hospitality industry and includes current food trends. In the second part, the theoretical knowledge is applied in order to evaluate the current marketing strategy of the company and design a new marketing plan.

The bachelor thesis is focused on a very topical subject. The main goal is to calculate an expected year-on-year change of VAT after the ERS was implemented (compare the years 2017 and 2016) in a sector of catering industry. The next goal is to compare the calculated result with estimation of Ministry of Finance. The first part of thesis is focused on a description of ERS. The second part deals with problems of tax evasion in catering industry. The final part is at first focused on the description of methods and data source, then the calculation of year-on-year change of VAT is made. The result of bachelor thesis is the comparison of estimated year-on-year change of VAT with estimation of Ministry of Finance and finally identify the reasons of deviation.
